People have been asking what I've been up to lately well I'm still longarm quilting for others but just 2 days a week if I'm lucky. I also work full time in the deli of our local grocery store. Lately I joined a Relay for Life team to raise money for cancer research. All the money we raise goes to the American cancer society.

Today I had surgery on my wrist, I have tendinitis on the side of my hand that goes up from my thumb. I never realized just how painful this could be until my arm started swelling and shots didn't work. Well it's all taken care of now and hope to heal quickly.
In a nutshell as the name of my blog says is how my life continues to be.Judihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12328482380639528301noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405535273104294126.post-33872213996469922252013-05-03T18:58:00.000-05:002013-05-03T19:43:24.172-05:00Published AgainI received an email from Quilting Arts that they are republishing my article Snow Resist Dyeing that was published in 2009 in their Quilting Arts magazine. I have been trying to figure out how to add pictures using my iPad. I downloaded google plus but can't figure it out any help is muchly appreciated. It keeps telling me to download google plus even though I already did.

At work today I fell, a new guy sprayed cooking oil and some landed on the floor. Me being the clutz I am was going around the corner and landed on my knee. The floor was a cement floor with tile, I hit it hard with my knee. I did go to the workman's comp doctor had it x-rayed and was told it was just bruised. I'll be wearing a knee brace put I am so thankful it's not fractured. The new guy came apologized to me and was almost in tears. I kept trying to tell him I'm fine and not to worry. I feel so bad for the kid.Judihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12328482380639528301noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405535273104294126.post-30944578478455711952013-04-01T06:53:00.001-05:002013-04-01T06:53:26.217-05:00The Winner IsPatricia
I have been so busy working fulltime in a deli at the local grocery store. I love my new job even thou I work afternoon/evenings and weekends it's close to home with beneftis and more pay then the last two jobs. I am also still longarm quilting but only quilt 2 days a week so I'm about 12 weeks out. I sold the ladybug quilt and hated to see it go but it went to a good home and isn't just sitting there anymore. One of these days I hope to find the time to go back to sewing/making quilts that time will come one day but in the meantime I will still quilt for others and work full time.

While quilting yesterday I looked up and out my window I saw the deer. It's great to have wildlife outside my window.
I picked this up for my daughter and thought I would try it once before giving it to her. I also got the cookbook so I could make different things besides cake pops so I tried the banana muffin receipe. After figuring out just how much to put in each cup they were really easy to make. Since these are banana muffins I choose not to put any frosting on them but when making cakepops you could put white chocolate, frosting or even powder sugar on them and don't forget the stick. They turned out really yummy.Judihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12328482380639528301noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405535273104294126.post-82600248472042377192012-01-19T11:49:00.000-06:002012-01-19T11:49:26.338-06:00Another Ladybug Quilt this one is for sale

Ladybug Quilt For Sale $75.00

I can't remember the last time I made a machine embroidered quilt. A gal I work with lost her son about 2 months ago and they are having an auction to raise money for all the expenses. I thought I would make this and donate it to the cause, I'm hoping to get it on my machine on Tuesday since I work the next 3 days. It's been so slow at work I haven't been there for 2 weeks so it's gonna seem weird going in.
Judihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12328482380639528301noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405535273104294126.post-16499448182463001262011-12-27T18:58:00.000-06:002011-12-27T18:58:40.508-06:00quilting and Lucy
These are the last of the quilts I have to quilt for clients right now.
Lazy Lucy, she found out today that if she just leans over the edge of her bed she could reach her food. Here she is eating.

Not much going on around here just wanted to pop in and wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

A few days ago we added a puppy to our family. This is Lucy she is only 6 weeks old and is a very smart little pup. She has had only a handful of accidents since we got her and most of the time she'll whimper and wants to go outside. She weighs in at a whopping 2 pounds 8 ounces. We took her to the vet the other day for her well puppy check up, they said she looked a little pale and gave me some meds. I asked how can you tell a dog is a little pale I had never heard that before. They said her gums were light in color and should be darker. Learn something new everyday. I guess taking her to a old country doc makes a difference they are all the nicest people there while we visited she was given a bath and her nails clipped all free of charge.

I pray all goes good with this.

The work front has been really slow getting only about 5 hours a week at The Gap but quilting is keeping me busy. Took Lucy to the studio yesterday and she wanted all the attention so didn't get much done. I have 2 baby quilts to make from scratch, both for an auction and 2 queen size quilts to get quilted for a client.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday and a blessed new year.
Judihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12328482380639528301noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405535273104294126.post-14394111974793844722011-12-19T18:21:00.000-06:002011-12-19T18:21:42.202-06:00Ladybug Baby Quilt

My hours have been cut at work so I have been busy in the studio. I know you can't believe with Christmas next week that they cut hours, the store is really dead during the week and the weekends have been busy but not as busy as what you would expect for this time of year. Anyways I'm staying busy in my studio doing what I love to do.Judihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12328482380639528301noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405535273104294126.post-61103880553301053782011-12-12T18:50:00.000-06:002011-12-12T18:50:05.214-06:00another customer quilt

I finished quilting another client's quilt today. This quilt is going to be the BOM (block of the month) for The Rabbit's Lair in Roger's Arkansas starting in Jan. This quilt is one of the most beautiful quilts I have ever made the picture doesn't do it justice. The pattern is one of Marti Michell's and is done with templates, I have never used templates before but this quilt made a believer out of me, the pieces just all went together so nicely I could of never gotten them made so nicely without the templates. The gals picked out some of the most beautiful reproduction fabrics.
ARTICLE Quilters Helping Stitch Tornado Victims' Lives Back Together

Joplin, MO) -- As people in Joplin work to piece their lives back together, some volunteers in Springfield are piecing quilts to help lift their spirits.
Quilters from all over the Ozarks flocked to Sewing Machines Express on South Campbell Monday.
Their goal was to stitch together as many quilts as possible, and send them to tornado victims. As admission to the event, they either brought fabric or canned goods.
The event organizer even found a local company that's been delivering quilts from similar events.
They've seen how much the handmade gifts mean.
"The people who are getting these blankets and quilts, they don't have a bed to put them on," says organizer Becky Sellers. "They're staying on someone's couch. They're staying in a motel. They're staying in a trailer or a church basement, and they like having something warm to hold on to that someone made for them in love -- whether they know the people who made them or not." If you're interested in helping, Sewing Machines Express will have some block kits ready for stitching.Judihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12328482380639528301noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5405535273104294126.post-45945056493510841952011-06-29T19:57:00.000-05:002011-06-29T19:57:24.881-05:00candlemat
<img border="0" height="240" i$="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcov_h9kUreJWO1-JzQG71gnHZh90HAG_w2TqMG0puC6H3nU2FZoLccX1YPwxWFIbKK4svTlNeTbLLh-YfgpQlNeWoqmHmNnhv_Q8iUKeywGTOYyslVDmuSagANVFkLL7KCdFRm1W-kN8Z/s320/candlemat-001.gif" width="320" />

This is a little candlemat I made for a Halloween Exchange.
