pole dyeing, snow dyeing, baby quilt
I sure wish I could share pictures with you all but without my laptop I'll have to wait to share. Today I did 16 yards of pole-dyed fabric. My husband just laughed at me when he saw how colorful my feet, legs and arms were. Most of the dye washed off with redrun. I also snow-dyed 6 yards of fabric. All this will get rinsed out and washed wither tomorrow or Thursday. I have a new grandson due in about a month and I'm working on a quilt for him. I have all the blocks made now to just sew them together and put a border on it. I'm hoping when I take my dh to the city to the doctor tomorrow I will be able to pick up my laptop. They say it is the harddrive but they are still trying to get all my stuff off the old one. I sure hope I don't loose everything.

Stacked Posie Supreme, Pole Dyeing
I have lots of pictures to share today. I worked on the stacked posie supreme quilt today and have all but one border to put on before quilting. The blocks are so much fun to make but all the borders get boring. I have this laying across my longarm you can see all but one row of bocks.

As promised here are the final results from the pole dyeing. I was really surprised at the peach and blues, I was expecting more brown and I think these would be great for sky pieces. The yellows turned out nice and bright and the browns/red browns also turned out great. The green started as yellow and blue and I wasn't happy when I first saw it but after ironing I can see the streaks of blue coming through the green.

Pole Dyeing, Stacked Posie Supreme
Today I tried something new for me pole dyeing. It was a blast below is a short tutorial on how I did it. Pole dyeing is a messy process, I ended up with yellow feet, yellow streaks down my legs and my arms are yellow also. If you looked at my arms you would think I was either jaundice or bruised. I'll post pictures of the final pieces later.
While my fabric was batching I worked on my Stacked Posie Supreme. It's coming along nicely and I should have the top completed tomorrow then I can quilt it.
White fabric soaked in soda ash hanging on pole.

Adding Peach

Adding baby blue and robin egg blue

hanging all pleated together on pole.
