Columbia MO quilt guild show

Yesterday I set up for the Columbia MO quilt guild show. It ran today and tomorrow. Today was a great day at the show hoping for another good day tomorrow. We were told our booths would be around 9x9, we I ended up with a 6x8 booth. The smallest one I have ever had, I did manage to get most of my stuff in it.

This morning I got my booth all set up for the Nancy Zeman Quilt Expo.

This show opens tomorrow 9-6, Friday 9-6 and Saturday 9-6 at the Alliant Energy Center. Looking forward to a good show.

Bloomington, IN quilt show

I want to thank everyone for their support at the quilt show. The show was a success and I will be going back again next year. Thank you again for all your support. Judi

Quilt Show

I haven't been able to get into my yahoo mail so to answer the question of no quilts hanging. This show is in a college in class rooms and there is no draping just the walls. The show quilts are draped over chairs ontop of tables which is a little unusual but works. I didn't hang any quilts since I didn't think they wanted pin holes in their walls and my guild needed to use my backdrop stand to hold the raffle quilt, they were going to just put it over chairs and that wouldn't of looked very good and they wouldn't sell many chances that way. Yesterday was an okay day, this show was the first time with vendors and there were about 114 quilts displayed this was the second time this group of people put on this show and last year it was in a different location so for being a first time show in this location it was okay. I was surprised how well my t-shirts were excepted I sold a few of them. It was fun watching the gals try them on in the classroom. LOL I'm off in a little while to go back to the show (last day hours are 1-4) then pack up and head towards TN. I'll be posting from TN.

Past and Present Quilt Show, Osage Beach, MO

Today I set up for the quilt show in Osage Beach, MO. This is held at Columbia College in the lower level of Stonecrest Mall in the classrooms. Being that the quilts are in 5 classrooms there will be vendors in each classroom and then an area with a few vendors. I set up different once again no quilt to hang but more table space. There were suppose to be at least 2 vendors per room but since 4 vendors cancelled I got a room all to myself with quilts displayed in it. As soon as this show is over I pack up and head towards Knoxville TN for the AQS Show.

Shipshewana Quilt Show, Flower Garden Blocks

I didn't get a chance to blog the last week since we were in IN vending at the Shipshewana Quilt Show. This show featured Marianne Fons, a day of school house and a shop hop. The show had approx 50 quilts and 11 vendors.

There is a tour called the Block Garden Tour that is a tour of flowers made into quilt blocks. Here is a picture of one of them that was located in Middleberry, IN this was block 11. These blocks are scattered all over the countryside in IN, similar to taking to tour of barns in Iowa where there are blocks painted on the side of barns.


Here are pictures of my booth in Shipshewana, as you can see I set it up differently once again. This show was LONG days, they ran from set up from 8-3 show hours 3-8 Wednesday, 10-8 Thursday and Friday and on Saturday the hours were 10-6 then we took down.
This show turned out to be a good one for a first time and I am willing to go back and do it again next year. They said they learned alot and will shorten the hours of the show so that will make it a little easier on all of us.We left IN this morning to head home and you'll never guess but we got about an hour from there and we had another flat, it wasn't a blow out this time and we did get the tire replaced in Ohio when we were there so we were very lucky that we had a spare. We also were lucky that we were stopping at a rest area when we noticed the tire going flat. We didn't have the guys from the Ozark Fisheries to help us this time so Marc got the tire changed and we were on our way once again. We still haven't made it home since the wind is terrible today, Marc has been fighting it all day and pulling a trailer isn't fun in the wind. We have about 4 more hours and we will be home tomorrow. There is no place like home but once I get there it will be a very busy 2 1/2 weeks before the next show. I need to dye alot of snowdyed fabric and also some other pieces. I hope to blog about my dyeing in the next couple weeks.

On the road again!! Warsaw MO quilt show

This morning I pack up and I'm headed to Warsaw MO for their first ever quilt show. There are a few of my friends that have quilts in this show so I'm looking forward to seeing them. The show is at the community building and the hours are 9-4 Saturday and 1-4 Sunday. With the hours ending at 4 I can go home and sleep in my own bed at night, saying that I will stay tonight since it is an hour and half drive each way. Marc wants to go with me today he will NOT lift anything but at least he can feel useful by driving me. He had the MRI yesterday and we will find out the results next week. I'll post pictures later of my booth, it won't be much different then the other booths so I hope you all don't get tired of seeing it.

Dallas TX Quilt Show

The show is over and I'm all packed up and ready to head home in the morning. The show was a slow show but I at least made my expenses and made a little. There was fall clothing market going on across the street and the word was there weren't very many people buying anything. You can still see the economy is hurting a lot of things. All we can do is hope the next one is going to be better. I head home tomorrow, it's about a 10 hour drive so it will be late when i get home.

Greater Dallas Quilt Show

Today we got set up in Dallas for the Greater Dallas Quilt Show. It's cold and rainy still here but will warm up on Sunday when we pack up. Marc is with me at this show and hurt his back so he is moving really slow and trying not to pick anything up, he's doing good to get up from a sitting position. My booth is only 10x10 this time and I have everything in it as usual just not as much of everything. If your in the Dallas area stop in and see a great show. The quilts are awesome I got to walk around and see a few of them after setting up.
