Keeping busy

The last few days I have been cleaning my studio and pitching stuff. I have been so busy that this is the first time I can actually weed things out. Now what to do with the big black garbage bag of batting pieces, There are several different kinds and sizes I'll have to sort them into types and color then decide.

Since I am no longer doing quilt shows I have decided it's time to look for a job. I had an interview today at a store at the outlet mall. They did an interview with 4 of us all at the same time. When I asked what the pay would be I was told it varies, she couldn't give me an amount. Never heard of this before. I'll find out in a few days if I have it or not but in the meantime I;m going to continue to look you never know what will come along.

People have asked me if I get a job will I still be longarm quilting , the answer to that question is YES. I love to quilt and will continue to as long as people give me tops to quilt.

Once again here in Mid MO we are under tornado watches until 9 pm. I sure hope the weather doesn't get bad but everyone in the way of these storms please be safe.

Internet Woes

You are all probably all tired of me talking about my internet problems. We had a problem with our dish and they sent a kid out to fix it, well he broke something and said we had antiquated equipment and should upgrade. It's $49 for the equipment and another $199 for install Hughes Net doesn't do upgrades for free, I can't see paying the extra for the upgrade especially since the kid broke the dish. They sent out an experience tech and he had us up and running in about 2 hours when the kid was here for 6 hours and didn't do anything but break the system. I'm back on line, I've been snowdyeing t shirts and now I am doing some longarm quilting for others.

We are having a heatwave here in central MO, our temps rose to 52 yesterday and is suppose to be in the mid 40's for the next week. I am so glad the freezing below 0 temps are gone and hoping spring is on it's way soon.

internet and busy

I have been having nothing but problems being able to get into my email and onto any of my sites. The internet is sooooo sloooowwww.

I did notice I haven't posted in about a week but it just seems like there isn't anything to show besides not being able to post. I did finish the quilt top for my grandson BUT when I went to dye the back I didn't cut enough fabric and now I have to dye another piece. It's batching and I will get the washout done today and hopefully get it loaded onto the longarm. I also made a matching pillowcase. I have done lots and lots of running this past week.

I have order lots of batiks to sell at shows. I'll be doing $2 fat quarters as my special. When they get in I will be busy cutting them into fat quarters. I also have all my handddyed and snowdyed fabric ready to go.
