Bloomington, IN quilt show

Today is the last day of the Bloomington IN quilt show, it's been a good show, sales are up about 25% which is nice to see. Looking forward to another good day today and then we take down and head home tomorrow.

Bloomington, IN quilt show

We made it to Bloomington yesterday it was about an 8 hour drive. Today we got all set up and the show runs Thursday thru Saturday. If your in the Bloomington area stop in and see all the beautiful quilts in the convention center and be sure to stop in the annex for some great shopping.

Relay For Life Quilt Show

This a picture of my booth at the Butler, Mo Quilt Show. This show was for Relay for Life. The show ended up being very slow, I figure it was due to the weather, we had snow and not just a little snow but up to 6" of the white fluffy stuff and this being in rural MO that means nobody goes anywhere. I'll chalk this one up to experience and a weekend away from home.

OK City Winter Quilt Show

We made it to OK City last night. It was about a 6 hour drive so really not to bad. We did have a little rain/snow as we left home but just enought to put some spots on the windshield and the roads were good all the way here. This is what is outside my hotelroom window when I look northwest you can see the front of the convention center and the skyline of the city.
This picture was taken out my window of Brick Town to the east. Brick Town is the area where all the night life and restraunts are.
Today is the day we set up at the convention center. We have a georgeous day the temps are suppose to be in the mid to lower 60's today and it feels like it this afternoon. This picture is the line of cars still waiting to unload. Set up time was 11:00 am and we got there at 10:30. We were really lucky since this picture was taken from our room at 1:30 after we were set up. I wonder what it's going to be like when we have to take down.
This is my booth. As you can see I have acorner booth this time so I have 2 sides open. I also decided to try something different this time and I have fat quarters of batiks and handdyes besides my snowdyed fabric. Let's see how this works my bundles weren't selling very well so I decided to take them apart also kits aren't selling either. It's probably because of the cost of handdyes. I hear people say all the time handdyes are so expensive. They don't realize all the work that goes into dyeing fabric.

Columbia Mo Quilt show

Here are a couple pictures of my booth. I got a bigger booth then I have ever had before it's 8x20. See my dh hiding behind his laptop. Today was the long day at the show it ran from 10 til 7. Tomorrow will be from 10-5.



This is my friend Susan. Just look at the beautiful quilting she did on the jacket and the quilt. She is also vending here at the show.

Springfield MO quilt show

I'm in Springfield,MO vending at the Springfield Quilt Guild. This has been a really nice show, we set up on Tuesday and the show started on Thursday (yesterday). I have been able to see alot of gals that I know at this show, yesterday was the girls from Stover and Osage Beach and today have been the girls from both Camdenton and Jefferson City. My snowdyed fabric has once again been very popular, I did order another 100 yards of fabric so I can dye some more next week for the next two shows.
Pictures of my booth are below, I don't have a neighbor this time so it seems like my booth is larger which is very nice to have a side open. Tomorrow is the last day of the show and we will tear down and head home.

This and That

I got back home on Sunday evening from the Nashville AQS Show. It was a good show and I will be sorry to see it move to Knoxville next year.

I am preparing to go to Madison WI for the Quilt Expo put on by Nancy Zeman. I will be home only a short 2 days after this show before I do a guild show. My understanding of the Springfield, MO guild show is that it is the third largest quilt show in MO. WOW it's an honor to participate in a show this size and so close to home.

My dh was home waiting for me. I was so happy to see him home from the hospital. He is doing good and ready to get back to what is normal for him. Thanks for all the prayers.
