mandala's and spirals

I hope your not all tired of looking at mandala's and spirals. These are just a few of them I did the last few days. I also tried to do some pieces like a friend of mine does but I think I'm doing something wrong, they just don't look as nice as hers. I'm going to try again in a few days and see if I can get better results. Tomorrow I'm going to be working on snowdyeing some t shirts and onesies.  These will all be for sale at the upcoming quilt shows. The Gatherin, AQS Paducah and The Greater Kansas City Quilt Show.

snowdyed mandalas and a spiral

These will be the last of the mandalas for about a week or so. I decided to try one in a spiral and really like the way it turned out. As usual these are all for sale and if you have any questions please leave me your email address so I can contact you.

Snowdyed

These are the snowdyes pieces I did yesterday. I used a black dye and this is how it separated.

snowdyed velvet using black dye
snowdyed t shirt using black dye.
snowdyed fabric using leaf green

Today I did snowdye more t shirts and velvet also did some more of the dry soda technique only one yard since I want to see how a bigger piece does, last time I did a fat quarter and loved how it turned out.

I now have half (28)  the blocks made for the Autumn Crossing quilt a couple more days and I should have them all done.

Snowdyed Sweatshirt Jackets

These are some snowdyed sweatshirt jackets I did the other day for my granddaughter, my daughter and myself. I used the same amount of snow and dye on all of them so it makes me wonder why the pink one which is a child's small didn't get as much dye on the back side of it. I do like the way they turned out.

Gobble Gobble, Snowdyed

Today I was able to get another 9 yards snowdyed. I can only do 9 yards at a time because of space otherwise I would do more each day.

I also was able to get my gobble gobble quilt done. When I started picking up I realized I hadn't put the last border on this quilt so today I got it on and also got it quilted and bound.

Tomorrow will be another dyeing day.

More snowdye fabric and Giveaway

Here it is August and we are having another heat wave with high humidity, so I thought I would do some snowdyeing. Here are the results of what I did, I did do some new colors again this time.
I had some scarlet and tangerine left over to use up so I played around with this piece. I like the way it turned out.
I dyed some different purples and all of them ended up with spots like this on them. I did scour the fabric first as always but have never had this happen before I used Hoffman's pfd so it didn't need scouring. Anyone have ideas???
Be sure if you haven't signed up yet for my 300 post giveaway to go to this post and sign up. I'll draw on Sunday for the 12 black and white fat quarters.

yet more colors

I had a stack of fabrics that needed ironing so today I got them done. The really light blue was a really nice sky blue before washing out, the only thing I can think of is that it had turquoise in it and the color didn't take well but this will still make a great background piece. The pearl grey piece will also make a great background.
