arm update

Yesterday I went back to the doctor for a 6 day check up on my elbow. He took off the half cast and told me I didn't have to wear it anymore. He did wrap it for me so while I'm out it won't get knocked but he told me to just let it be and to stretch my arm to get that muscle working again. The doctor also told me what he did, he cut my arm on the elbow and went in and detached the tendon from the bone, he fileted the tendon in half and removed all the bad stuff and sent it in to be sure it was okay and it was, he then layed the tendon back on top of each other and sewed my arm back up. Now to wait for it to heal and reattach to the bone. I will be rehabbing for awhile so I really can't do as much as I would like to. I am babying my arm so I don't screw up what he fixed. All in all the pain is a little but the area looks good and I don't go back to the doctor for 3 weeks.

update

Boredom has set in. I try to read and I fall asleep. I thought I would get alot of my reading caught up guess not. I found I am allergic to the pain meds, I broke out with a rash that itches so now all I take is Tylenol. The weather outside has turned cold so a good time to stay in. I have been keeping up with blog posts and a friend of mine has been doing puzzles in her fabric designs those are alot of fun to do thanks Kay! Tomorrow evening is guild and I'm hoping I can get my dh to take me and pick me up. We are having an auction and dessert table. Should be lots of fun and just what I need to get out among the living. I go back to the doctor on Wednesday to start therapy. He says he probably won't take the stitches out then but he thinks it will be a good time to start therapy.

surgery update

Everything went well with the surgery. I am to ice my arm/elbow today and keep it elevated.
Pain meds are working okay and I can type using both hands. Yeah!! I
was told to keep moving my fingers. I have a brace/splint from
above the elbow down to the wrist entire arm is wrapped. My eyeballs are rolling around in my
head so it's time for a nap.
