Retreat and washer update.

Had a wonderful relaxing weekend on retreat. We went to the Circle S Ranch in Lawrence Kansas. The one picture is of all the quilts the girls finished from last year. The other picture is of my quilt I made at retreat over the weekend. The weather was really bad coming home but once I got to Kansas City the roads improved and the snow turned to rain. I was happy the roads were poor for only the first 2 hours but wished they were good the entire way.

Washer update: Before I left for retreat the repair man came he said there was a gear that locked up and to replace it he would have to replace the entire transmission. The part alone would cost $200 but the labor would be a killer and the total repair would be somewhere along the amount of $800 so I went to retreat and Marc went to Lowe's and purchased a new washer and dryer not stackable and on Sunday afternoon they were delivered and I was back to rinsing my fabric out late Sunday afternoon.

Wonky/Liberated Quilt

I finished the wonky/liberated quilt today. I leave on retreat tomorrow so won't get to quilt it until I get back next week.
My washer went out on me yesterday so I'm down temporarily from dyeing. I have 4 buckets full of fabric sitting there waiting to be rinsed/washed out. The guy is suppose to come tomorrow I hope he can fix it cheap. I have a stackable washer/dryer and the dryer is fine so I hate have to buy another one but at the same time I don't want to pay a fortune to get it fixed when you can buy new at a reasonable price.
