Birds

I was sitting and watching the birds at the feeder when what looked like a babyhawk swooped down and attacked a female cardnial. It held the cardinal down and started plucking the feathers out of it as the cardinal tried to get away. How sad. The babyhawk enjoyed its feast and then left leaving only the plucked feathers behind. The birds all stayed away from the feeders while the hawk was there. They are returning now.
