BQ quilt

After going to guild today I worked on my BQ quilt. I'm not real happy with the border fabric and am thinking of just taking it off and not putting another border on. That is the reason for only side borders. I'm not sure if its to busy or not the right shades of green or both but to me it just doesn't look right.

  1. Judi, maybe a VERY narrow border of that green and then a wider border of the dark that you have for the blocks, can't tell if it is black or brown. I think you need something on the outside but not that as the final border.

  2. I would use that and bind it in black. Hard to tell from a picture but it looks fine. Ann

  3. Judi,
The quilt will look much better if you remove the green border. Do you have some more tulip fabric to add a say 0,5" border around it with a bigger black border around that one?

  4. Very nice I like it. Whatever you do for the border I'm sure it'll look fine but my vote is for framing it with black binding at the ending :D

  5. I'd like to see a little more of the black along the edges of the quilt. Maybe another inch. That would frame the quilt nicely. Then a narrow stripe of the green say an 0.5 inch, then another inch of black and bind in the black. You have a good eye for your colors, so however you choose should be fine.

  6. Oops, I just notice that this is an older string, so your quilt is long done. I'm sure it turned out fine. Nice quilt.
