Retreat

I'm heading out to Valley Falls, Kansas today for a retreat with Jo Morton it's held at The Barn Bed and Breakfast. Jo does reproduction quilts and I just love the miniatures and doll quilts. I plan on taking a couple kits to work on this time instead of doing the workshop. This is the 4th year in a row that I get to attend this wonderful retreat.

Marc had his shot yesterday and he says it seems to be working that he almost feels human again. This is good news he can have up to 2 more shots but we are hoping this one will work.

doctors and the Gatherin

I took Marc to the pain clinic today, we thought he was going to get a shot in his spine but since he is on coumadin for the blood clots last August they wouldn't do it until he is off the coumadin for 7 days. We are now waiting for a call from the heart doctor to give us the okay.

I set up for another show tomorrow. This one is just 20 miles from home, it's called The Gatherin. This show is in it's 3rd year and should be a good one. There will be over 25 booths not all quilt related, also free wine tasting. So if your in the Stover, MO area Friday and/or Saturday be sure to stop in the Lions Building at the back of the park for some great deals.

I did get to do some snowdyeing today 9 yards and another 12 step color wheel. I think I have everything ready to go set up tomorrow. I'll share pictures as usual tomorrow night. I hope to get the stuff I did today rinsed and washed tomorrow.

doctor and dyeing

I took Marc to the spine specialist, they took xrays to make sure he hadn't broke anything and to see if the hardware in his back was still okay. They think he may have hurt his back when he fell while we were in Bloomington. They think he may have ruptured another disc so he goes for an mri tomorrow. Each one of these trips is an hour each way so it's another all day thing. We also need to go to Columbia shopping so will go after the mri. They did give him pain killers so he is feeling a little better.

Back to dyeing, besides all the running I have done yesterday and today I have been getting a little dyeing done. Today I did 2---12 step color wheels, 18 yards of snowdyed and did some parfaits and just played. I have 14 yards sitting there waiting for me to iron and I hope to get that done tomorrow late afternoon or evening along with rinsing out the snowdyed fabric I have sitting there.
