Dyeing and quilts

I'm back home from a week of vacation and there is no place like home and my own bed.

Yesterday I dyed a color wheel to make a quilt for my soon to be 9 year old grandson. He is into guitars and the fabric I found was black with multi color guitars on it. I plan to do a wonky block with alternating strips of handdyes with this batik fabric. Pictures will follow as I go along.

Today I will also get back to snowdyeing and doing some regular lwi dyeing. I have 5 shows coming up soon and need to get more fabric ready for the shows.

There is a great article in the On Track! Magazine about testing my snowdyed fabric. I am very happy to say the least of the outcome of the test. If you get that magazine be sure to check out the results.

  1. Glad you had a good trip. Is that magazine online? When I google it I only get a rock magazine.
    Have fun snowdyeing!

  2. Should be an interesting guitar quilt when you're done. Glad that the magazine article turned out great.
