Mandala Snowdyes and blue snow

I have been busy snowdyeing more Mandala's so I'll have a good supply of them at the Paducah AQS Show. All of the following pieces will be for sale at that show.I will be vending downtown on Kentucky Ave where the hurt books are for sale.

NOT FOR SALE
This piece here I want to quilt as a whole-cloth quilt so I have a sample on display in my booth but I have no idea where to start with the quilting on it. I have never done a whole cloth before this could be interesting.

These last 3 pieces I had used Scarlet Red and Jet Black. I am really surprised I don't have much black at all showing up. I wonder why?

We finally got all of the plowing done and after it was piled high all over the place we noticed that there was a blue color to the snow. It reminded me of the glacier's I saw when I was on an Alaskan Cruise.

  3. Wishing I was going to Paducah so I could see your mandalas in person. I bet they look amazing!!

Jet black # 250 is a hot temp dye so you will have results similar to turquoise when using for snow dyes.

I would look at the mandala in small segments and repeat different quilting motifs in similar areas around the quilt.
